DETAIL
- Based on the programs Public Health and International Health at National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, we aim to establish a high-level training base for public health and international epidemic prevention professionals by collaborating with multidisciplinary experts from both within and outside the university. Through a diverse range of courses covering public health, epidemiology, community medicine, preventive medicine, health statistics, health administration, health insurance, medical law and policy, immunology, international health, law, politics, and economics, we strive to cultivate comprehensive professionals.
- Furthermore, our university offers an International Health Program, the first English-taught program in Taiwan that nurtures internationally oriented public health professionals. Since its inception in the academic year 2003, the program has admitted both domestic and foreign master’s students for many years. With over 160 graduates, our alumni are spread across all six continents worldwide. Currently, we have 60 master’s and doctoral students, with approximately one-third from America, one-third from Africa, and one-third from Asia. In the future, we will continue to focus on “strengthening international talent,” “enhancing international research and teaching capabilities,” “enhancing international academic competitiveness,” and “addressing global issues.” We will strive to promote international connections, academic cooperation, global student engagement, and the recruitment of outstanding overseas students to cultivate high-level talents with global mobility, employability, and interdisciplinary capabilities.
- We aim to join international medical and health organizations to share and enhance Taiwan’s epidemic prevention capabilities and influence. Since 2021, our team has successfully signed a memorandum of understanding with the “Southeast Asia One Health University Network” (SEAOHUN) and actively participated in regional projects focused on epidemic prevention.
